Mystery Hunt in the Round Tower
If you pile up the Round Tower four times, you get the height of the largest Egyptian pyramid. Is it just a coincidence or has someone transmitted a mysterious knowledge from ancient Egypt to the Copenhagen of King Christian IV? What do you think? Go on a mystery hunt in the Round Tower and get carried around by theories so strange that you get completely dizzy until you (maybe) end by finding the solution.
History on Exhibit
A persistent astronomer at the Round Tower started the first long-term systematic measurements of the Danish weather, when he observed temperature, pressure, rain, wind and thunder from 1751 onwards. On the occasion of the exhibition “Around the Weather” we tell the story in the Old Library Hall, where you can also see a sunshine recorder from the Round Tower’s astronomical-historical collection. It looks like the crystal ball of a fortune teller – quite appropriate when talking about weather prophets! You can also read the full story about meteorology in the Round Tower here.
